Registering at Fonbet Greece is the same as at every licensed operator — the HGC sets the steps. The difference is in verification speed and in where the code field hides. I did it four times (once for me, three times with friends) — here are the steps and the mistakes.
Step 1 — Form (5 minutes)
“Register” top right. Email, password, mobile, full name as on your ID, date of birth, tax number, address. And the important bit: under “Have a promo code?” a field opens — type BOO520. If you skip it, it’s never added.
Step 2 — SMS
Six-digit code, valid 10 minutes. After confirmation the account opens, the first 50 Free Spins are credited. You can deposit, not withdraw.
Step 3 — Verification
“My account → Verification”: ID (both sides) and proof of address up to 3 months old in your name (utility, bank, tax form). Manual check, 2–24 hours. From the app the camera uploads documents at the right resolution — the two friends who did it from mobile were approved in 6 and 10 hours.
Step 4 — Bonus
After approval: the remaining 450 Free Spins (50/day) and the €20 Free Bet under “My offers”. Terms in the Fonbet bonus post.
The 5 mistakes
| # | Mistake | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Skipping the code | No bonus, permanently |
| 2 | Wrong digit in tax number | Tax-authority cross-check fails |
| 3 | Electricity bill in spouse’s name | Rejected — use a bank statement |
| 4 | Cropped ID photo | +1 day (the friend with 31 hours) |
| 5 | Second account in the same home without notice | Temporary lock on both |
Number 5 deserves a note: two accounts at the same address/IP (e.g. flatmates) are allowed, but the system flags them; a chat message before the second registration avoids the lock.
After registration
Set a deposit limit when asked — a decrease applies immediately, an increase after 24 hours. See the responsible gaming page. And before the first withdrawal, read payments — the “same method” rule surprises many.
