Fonbet iOS: the app on iPhone and iPad — install, Face ID, widgets and what changes in iOS 18

For iPhone the story is simple: the Fonbet Greece app is on the App Store, no APK and no permissions. Here’s what I set up first and what I learned in six weeks on an iPhone 14 and an iPad Air.

Installation

App Store → “Fonbet” (or the QR code on Fonbet.gr). 84 MB, iOS 15+ (iPhone 8 and newer). One minute. Automatic updates every 2–3 weeks.

The three day-one settings

1. Face ID: Settings → Security → Biometric login. Also required on every withdrawal — good.
2. SMS 2FA on login from a new device. Optional, I recommend it.
3. Notifications: only “daily Free Spins” (for the bonus’s 10 days), “slip settlement”, “withdrawal approved”. Marketing is switched off separately.

Live Activities (iOS 17/18)

From iOS 17 the app shows your active slip’s match in the Dynamic Island / lock screen: score, minute, slip status. Works only for matches with an active bet. It’s the most useful feature of the iOS version — Android has no equivalent.

iPad

Full screen with a two-column layout: matches left, slip right. The casino’s live tables are better here than anywhere — big video, readable layout. Face ID/Touch ID depending on model.

Battery and data (iPhone 14, 1 hour)

On 4G live casino drops to 720p/480p automatically — adjustable manually.

What’s missing

• Live-score home-screen widget — not yet (Live Activities partly cover it).
• Manual dark mode — follows the system.
• Apple Pay for deposits — card/IRIS/Revolut only, see payments.

Compared with Android

Same functionality, same RTP, same account. iOS has Live Activities, Android updates manually (APK). The general app review has the comparisons with Stoiximan and Novibet.

Register from the iPhone with code BOO520: the camera uploads verification documents at the right resolution — my friends were approved in 6–10 hours.
